Where is Tamura?
Tamura is a rural city in the Tōhoku (Northeastern) part of Japan. It is located in Fukushima prefecture. The nearest big city is called Kōriyama. (Image courtesy of www.wikipedia.org)
Both Fukushima Prefecture and Tamura City are considered very rural parts of Japan. There is much agriculture that goes on here, from rice to radishes, carrots to cabbage, beefsteak to tobacco, etc. The surrounding hills and mountains are very beautiful, and the people for the most part are laid back and easy-going compared to people from the big cities.
